Optimisation of the use of Pleco as an analytical tool within the frame of ASTEC project

Jorge González Frutos, research assistant of the ASTEC project (Approaching the Initial Surface Appearance of Tarnished Silver Heritage Objects by Electrolytic Cleaning: Definition of Optimal Treatment Conditions) coordinated by the Haute Ecole Arc Conservation-restoration, Neuchâtel, CH is currently evaluating how Linear Scanning Voltammetry can be used to study the tarnishing of silver-based coupons and define the best parameters for their electrolytic cleaning with Pleco. This work is carried out at the Laboratory for Joining Technologies and Corrosion of the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), Dübendorf, CH.
